Telling Time

One of the primary uses for numbers is telling time. Some of the many questions used to ask the time are:

Τι ώρα είναι;
Έχετε ώρα (παρακαλώ);

To answer, you say Η ώρα είναι followed by the time. For times within the first half hour, you name the hour, use the word και (meaning “and”) plus the minutes. Thus:

Η ώρα είναι
	εφτά
	εφτά και δέκα
	εφτά και τέταρτο εφτά και δεκαπέντε
	εφτά και μισή εφτά και τριάντα
