These pictures were taken with an Olympus D-500L digital camera. At this tournament I decided to use the flash to see if I could capture motion better.
The good news: I was able to eliminate the motion blur that you see on some of the other pages.
The bad news: the flash did not provide enough illumination in the gym where the championships were held (it has very poor lighting). I had to use Adobe Photoshop's Adjust Levels... and Adjust brightness/contrast feature to make the pictures visible, and the results were quite a bit grainier than I would have liked.
When I take pictures at the Regional tournament in a couple of weeks, I will go back to a manual 35mm camera with Fuji 800 film and use a scanner to enter the results.
Digital cameras are very convenient, but they aren't quite there yet.
