Umlaut Time!

Here’s an interesting take on an Ö where space is at a premium. The third line down (BÖIG) uses a vertical bar inside the O to represent the umlaut. This is something I’ve never seen before.

Someone posted this on Reddit on a post titled “Does Graz have an image problem?” to give their feelings about Graz; I have translated it to English.

I believe Graz has a very good balance for people who live in or around Graz; a little bit like "Hobbiton", a little faraway from the world but not a lot, a little reclusive but not entirely, not too big but also not too small, not as super interesting for mass tourism but really very beautiful and cozy and manageable, and many things work well in the city, overall. I find it not so bad a niche, if one doesn’t want something sexy for mass tourism or compare yourself to Munich/Berlin, for example.
