Landeszeughaus

This is the Styrian armory, the “[m]ost important historical weapon collection in the world.” It’s arranged from oldest to newest (relatively speaking) as you go from the first floor to the third floor.

Racks of rifles on both sides of a hall; helmets hanging from a beam between the two sides.

Three suits of armor, and two sets of chain mail
Three shelves of breastplates
Array of four breastplates
Rack of pistols with very fancy illustrated handles

The handles of pistols were decorated back then.

This armor was probably for someone high up in the ranks.

Pretty fancy for a spear.

Closeup of bronze-colored spears showing metalwork with what appear to be arabic letters.
Spearheads with holes cut in the metal in geometric forms.
Rack of morningstars (maces with spiky heads)

Wouldn’t want to get hit in the face with one of these.

Armored helmet with a face that looks like a cat face.

Helmet with a cat face. According to the guide, this was to strike fear in the heart of the enemy. I think it looks sort of cute.
