Trieste, Italy–Sep. 16, 2025

I decided to take a couple of days to see Trieste, Italy. It’s only 4.5 hours by bus. Not many pictures today, because it was raining most of the time. When I went out for dinner, in fact, I got caught in a hailstorm. Fun times!

The hotel I was in has the old-style Italian electrical outlets, with three holes in a row. The middle hole (and middle prong on the plug) is for ground. A standard European two-prong plug fits in the socket perfectly. A standard European two-prong-with-ground does not fit, though; the prongs are a bit too large. And that’s why you need an adapter.
