Something entirely new happened to me today. Someone asked me for directions! Normally, I only get asked for directions when I am a tourist and don’t know anything about the city, but this time it was different.

I was at the Hauptbahnhof, and a guy with his lady friend came up to me, and he asked me how to get to the St. Peter area. I told him to take the #6 streetcar and showed him where to get it. (This was the correct answer, even though my German probably wasn’t totally correct.)

I’m not sure if he thought I was a resident or just a fairly well-informed tourist, but there you have it.
