Klanglicht (part 2)

I went back to KlangLicht (Sound and Light) Festival tonight. Here’s a brochure in English and in German. I made a local copy in case the versions at the main site go away.

Here are some pictures; the number with each one corresponds to the place on the program where I took them.

Another view of „Arkestra of Light - Lifted“ (#14) from the stairs going up Schloßberg.

Another picture of „Pochen“ (#3)

“Brickwork” projected onto Uhrturm

„Vertigo“ (#4); this is one of the better installations.

Rectangular solid made of LEDs, currently glowing bright red

„Frequenzen“ (#12). I wasn’t particularly keen on this one. It seemed to be a light beam drawing a Lissajous figure controlled by the amplitude and frequency of the sound.

They also projected the figure on the side of a building.

„Flux“ (#13): This was the absolute highlight for me. The rods rotate and change color in time to the music. If you look at the second video, you will see that they move really fast. I was thinking, “I sure hope they tested this so that the rods don’t fly off into the crowd.”
