Graz–Jun. 22, 2025
Went for a short run that got me up to Peter-Tunner-Gasse, which has been closed to car traffic for the past year (and will be until sometime in 2026; don’t ask me why these projects take so long). At any rate, I decided to walk on the pedestrian pathway and saw this interesting wall art:
At some point, Peter-Tunner-Gasse turns into Kalvariengürtel; here’s some more art (and grafitti) at the corner with Bahnhofgürtel:
Art by Tom Lohner. I’ve seen a lot of his stuff here in Graz.

“must-have” would be „muss-have“ in a blend of German and English. That rhymes with „nuss“, which is the word for nut.
This book in a rare/old book store window just fascinated me. If you don’t have umlauts on your device, you can write ä, ö, and ü as ae, oe, and ue. The person who designed this book cover put the E inside the U. In standard German, the title would be „Fürst Pücklers Orientalische Reisen“.
And finally, this old book in fraktur; if I read the date correctly, it’s 1631.
