Graz–Oct. 27, 2025

I mentioned soon after arriving in Graz that the city is not very wheelchair-accessible. However, for visually impaired people, they do a much better job. There are boxes at most intersections that have a button you can press to signal that you want to cross. On the side of the box is a “map” of the intersection for visually impaired people:

Four lanes closest to person, traffic island in middle, and two lanes the other direction

Two sets of rail tracks going in opposite directions.

From closest to farthest: a bike path (circles) going both directions and two lanes going one-way right to left.

Miscellaneous

This sticker has (I think) something to do with a rivalry between soccer teams in Graz. The word „Hurensöhne“ is a fairly heavy insult; it means “sons of bitches”.

Hurensöhne; the O is a symbol of some soccer team? with a diagonal slash through it.
